NOT about guns and porn

I got the title idea the other day when my daughter wanted to have a sleepover with a girl whose family I did not know well.  She was already over at the house with her friends and I said to my husband, that I hoped they didn't have any guns or porn - both things I have heard and know can have long lasting affects on kids.  So there you have it.  Sorry if you are searching for porn on the internet.  Go spend time with your family.

I would love to link to you, but I won't because of your blog title.

Please change it so I can link to you and tell my mom about your blog.

If I told her to visit your site she would freak out and not read it, and not go to anymore sites I recommend to her.

I'm sorry you don't like my blog title. I will agree that it is controversial, but there is a reason behind the title (as I explained in the post). Someday I will elaborate further about my feelings about guns and porn. As a start, I will say that I have met too many people who have been exposed to pornography at a young age and have been affected by the experience their whole life. We (as a society) should not be afraid to talk about how destructive it is. So, for the time being, I am going to keep the title. I think I can understand why you might be afraid to tell your mom about it. I haven't told my elementary school age kids the title. I'm sure they'll find out soon enough. And then we can talk about my sentiments.
